Personalized Plates

When did this craze begin?

It is hard to remember when this all began, but I think it was in the early 1990's when the Province of Ontario finally caved into demand and saw the extra income potential in having personalized plates.  At first you were allowed to have 6 letters, later symbols and letters approved by the Province of course.  Now it is up to 8 letters including spaces, we are only limited by our imaginations as to what we can put on our favorite toys.....within limits that is.  Send us your personal plates!
